What do you think makes GoGo music unique?: The style. The congos, talking. Overall simplicity
What was your first experience with GoGo music?: Going to visit my cousins for the summer in Washington DC hearing them listen to lock it by rare essence. Finally had my first live encounter at the black hole to see Byb and rare essence in 1996

What has been your favorite performance so far?: With Dymond Lyfe female band in Greensboro. Also with Queen City Groovers at sofies july 4th 2022
What is the most difficult thing about being a woman in GoGo?: I feel I’m underrated in the music in Charlotte overall not just gogo. The Gogo scene here in Charlotte is not well organized and most are in cliques here.
What has been your biggest music/GoGo career highlight so far?: Being the lead singer of an all female Gogo band
Do you have any advice for aspiring female artists?: Go hard and amaze everybody with your talents. Practice every single day if you have to go be the best at what you do. Whatever it is you choose make sure you’re passionate about it first. With passion everything else will follow along.
What is your brand/company if any? (your business or brand): It’z Mitey event planning
When you perform and the audience sings along, how does that energy make you feel?: Makes me feel like I’m doing my job. It’s very fulfilling to know the crowd is feeling what I’m doing
Are any of your songs based on real events or people we might know? If so, can you tell us more about them without giving away too many details about the song itself?: No
What do you think is the most significant barrier to female movement?: Women have to stick together.
