Sweet Tee answers to movement questions
 (Level 2)

What bands do you follow?: I have followed Chuck Brown, BYB, JYB, Trouble Funk, EU, and RE for years, and I am new to following Black Alley and the X.O Band out of Atlanta.
How long you been loving GoGo?: I've been loving Go-Go all my life. I would even say I didn't have a choice but to love it; I was born and raised in Southeast DC, where, in my opinion, SE is where the foundation and heartbeat of Go-Go lives.
How long have you been supporting Go-Go music?: Since the late 70s, my cousin Roy Giles used to play a Rhythm Guitar with R/E back in the day when they first started.
My brothers, cousins, and all their friends used to have parties in the backyard, banging on trash can tops, trash cans, and anything they could find, making that Go-Go sound.
What do you think makes GoGo music unique?: The Sound! The Beats!
For me, I can feel the beat of the percussion instrument's vibration in my soul.
Also, I must say, as a Washingtonian, I felt ecstatic the day Go-Go music was designated as the official music for DC
What was your first experience with GoGo music?: My first experience with Go-Go music was listening to Chuck Brown
Who are your favorite bands?: I favor the old-school RE, JYB, EU, Trouble Funk
What has been your biggest GoGo concert so far?: The biggest Go-Go concert I have attended was held at the Capitol Center

What is your brand/company if any? (your business or brand): Sparrows Landing Global, a DC nonprofit that serves people experiencing homelessness

Let me tell you all

I am excited to join the "I am a Queen in Go-Go movement."
The vision is powerful and beyond measure, and I believe it's purposeful

I give back to my city by serving the unhoused citizens through the five street outreach programs that we created.
And for each of those programs,
Original GoGo music was produced…all inspired by God and our unhoused Sparrows
What do you think is the most significant barrier to female movement?: In this day and time, I will say the female.
Bias, Discrimination, and Lack of Unity.

I acknowledge, respect, and honor the IAAQGOGO Movement Core Values, ultimately bringing understanding, growth, and the unification of womanhood
